Resume Banger — Refund Policy

We want you to be happy with Resume Banger. This Policy explains your right to cancel and to receive a refund. It applies in addition to the Terms of Service and to any mandatory consumer-protection rights that apply to you under your local law.

Note that Resume Banger sells pay-as-you-go credits, not a recurring subscription. There is nothing to "cancel" between purchases; if you stop buying, you simply stop spending.

1. How credits work

When you buy a credit pack via Paddle, the credits are added to your account immediately. Each paid feature (e.g. one ACE-Step real-rap generation) spends one credit from your balance. Credits do not expire.

Tips paid through the Buy me a coffee link are voluntary donations, not credit purchases. They do not add credits to your balance and do not entitle you to any feature.

2. 14-day right of withdrawal — EU, EEA and UK consumers

If you are a consumer resident in the European Union, the European Economic Area, or the United Kingdom, you have the statutory right to withdraw from a digital-content purchase within 14 days of buying it, without giving a reason. For a credit-pack purchase that means:

  • Unused credits are refundable in full within 14 days of the purchase. The 14-day period starts on the day Paddle confirms payment.
  • Credits you have already spent on a generation cannot be refunded under the withdrawal right, because the digital content has been delivered with your express consent and you have acknowledged that the right of withdrawal is lost upon delivery (Article 16(m) of the Consumer Rights Directive). We will refund a pro-rated amount equal to the remaining unspent credits.

To exercise the right of withdrawal, send an unambiguous written request to [email protected] within the 14-day window. You may use the model wording below; it is not mandatory:

To: [email protected] — I hereby give notice that I withdraw from my credit purchase on Resume Banger. Purchased on: [date]. Account email: [email]. Paddle transaction id: [txn_…]. Date: [today].

We will refund the eligible amount within 14 days of receiving your withdrawal notice, using the same payment method you used at checkout. The refund is processed by Paddle and typically appears on your statement within 5–10 business days.

3. Refunds for accidental or duplicate charges

If you were billed by mistake — duplicate charge, billed twice for the same credit pack, billed after a failed sign-in, etc. — email [email protected] within 60 days of the charge. We will investigate and, where the charge was clearly an error on our or Paddle's side, refund the affected amount in full.

4. Refunds when a paid feature is broken

If a credit you spent did not produce a usable result because of a fault on our side or upstream (e.g. an extended Replicate outage causing your ACE-Step job to fail), we will refund the credit by either crediting your balance or, on request, refunding the original payment pro-rated to the affected credit.

5. Tips ("Buy me a coffee")

Tips are voluntary donations for which no service is provided in exchange. They are not refundable in the ordinary course. If you sent a tip by mistake (e.g. wrong currency, wrong amount), email [email protected] within 14 days and we will refund as a courtesy.

6. How to request a refund

Email [email protected] with:

  • The email address on your account
  • The Paddle transaction ID (visible on Paddle's receipt email; starts with txn_)
  • The reason for the refund — helpful for us, optional for you

We confirm receipt within two business days and resolve the request within fourteen days, often the same day. Refunds are processed by Paddle and appear on the statement of the original payment method.

7. Free tier

The free tier is provided without charge and so does not give rise to a refund right. If you believe a free-tier generation was incorrectly counted against your daily limit, write to us and we will reset your bucket as a courtesy.

8. Disputes

If you are unhappy with how a refund request was handled, reply to our response with the word "escalate" and we will review again within seven days. You may also raise a chargeback with your card issuer or a dispute with Paddle directly. EU consumers may use the EU Online Dispute Resolution platform.
